THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF HAWAII TAX INSTITUTE FOUNDATION IS TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND SERVE CHARITABLE PURPOSES BY CONDUCTING VARIOUS PROGRAMS TO FOSTER AND IMPROVE EDUCATION OF ACCOUNTANTS, ATTORNEYS, FIDUCIARIES, FINANCIAL ADVISORS, AND OTHER TAX PROFESSIONALS.

THE INSTITUTE CONSISTS OF FIVE DAYS OF LECTURES, SEMINARS, PANEL DISCUSSIONS, AND WORKSHOPS BY LOCALLY AND NATIONALLY KNOWN EXPERTS IN TAX PLANNING. THE HAWAII TAX INSTITUTE IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. IN 2019, IN FURTHERANCE OF ITS PURPOSE, HTIF PRESENTED THE 56TH ANNUAL HAWAII TAX INSTITUTE ON NOVEMBER 3 THROUGH NOVEMBER 7. ONE HUNDRED FORTY TWO SPEAKERS MADE PRESENTATIONS IN THE AREAS OF ESTATE AND GIFT PLANNING, INCOME TAX PLANNING, AND BUSINESS PLANNING. SEVEN HUNDRED AND THIRTY-THREE PEOPLE ATTENDED THE INSTITUTE. CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT WAS PROVIDED TO ATTORNEYS, ACCOUNTANTS, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERS, AND CHARTERED LIFE UNDERWRITERS.
