THE PACIFIC REGIONAL COMPREHENSIVE CENTER (PRCC) IS FUNDED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO PROVIDE TECHNOLOGY ASSISTED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN POLICY GUIDANCE AND CAPACITY BUILDING TO 11 CLIENT SEAS IN THE PACIFIC.
GEO-LITERACY EDUCATION IN MICRONESIA (GEM) IS FUNDED BY THE NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION TO DEMONSTRATE THE POTENTIAL FOR EFFECTIVE INTERGENERATIONAL, INFORMAL LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT OF GEO-LITERACY THROUGH AN INFORMAL STEM LEARNING TEAM (ISLT) MODEL FOR PACIFIC ISLAND COMMUNITIES.
WATER NETWORK FOR TEAM STEM (WANTS) IS FUNDED BY THE NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION TO NURTURE GREATER PARTICIPATION OF INDIGENOUS PACIFIC ISLANDERS IN STEM FIELDS, FACILITATED BY A COLLECTIVE IMPACT MODEL THAT EMPLOYS THE LOCALLY MEANINGFUL TOPIC OF CLEAN DRINKING WATER AS A VEHICLE FOR BOTH K-12 ENGAGEMENT AND BROADER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION AND ACTION. INTERGENERATIONAL AND CROSS-JURISDICTION NETWORKING MELD WESTERN STEM WITH LOCAL ECOLOGICAL KNOWLEDGE, EMPOWERING INCLUSIVE INFORMAL SCIENCE LEARNING TEAMS (IISLTS), ADVISORY GROUPS, AND MULTIPLE, LOCAL, SCHOOL-BASED WATER QUALITY MANAGEMENT TEAMS (WQMTS), IMPACTING THOUSANDS OF RESIDENTS.
