RESOLVE THE HOMELESS CAT PROBLEM ON KAUAI.
In January 2019 Kauai Community Cat Project (KCCP) and Animal Balance (a global non- profit) worked together to open the Spay Pod which is a low cost spay/neuter service for Kauai. In September Animal Balance turned over all daily operations to Dr Katie Spaulding and KCCP.In 2019 KCCP funded 1157 spay/neuters at the Spay Pod for the community.KCCP also rescued 284 cats/kittens. 235 were sent at our cost to either Kitsap Humane Society or Seattle Humane Society for adoptions. We were also able to adopt 49 locally.KCCP also manages various community cat colonies across the island providing food daily and medical help as required.
