Organizations Filed Purposes: HFUU supports the interests of family farms through education, legislation and cooperation.

HFUU MEMBERSHIP DUES: HFUU state-wide membership included 1,034 members spread through thirteen Chapters in all four Counties of the State of Hawaii. Chapters hold monthly or quarterly membership meetings featuring locally grown food and educational programs focused on regenerative agricultural production, business management and marketing.

Received grant from Maui County for educational outreach network and farm apprentice mentoring program (FAM). The goal of the program is to provide continous, relevant and high-quality educational activities to Hawaii farm families that increase their efficiency and productivity. HFUU held a convention on November 8-10, where 300 people attended. There were 35 presenters and 61 concurrent sessions over three days. HFUU has a mentoring program for FAM apprentices. The goal of the program is to provide beginning Maui farmers a comprehensive and effective workforce training program that builds their technical, business and on-farm expertise.
