TO ACHIEVE THIS MISSION, TRINE UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE STUDENTS RECEIVE PERSONAL ATTENTION THROUGH SMALL CLASSES AND EXCELLENT TEACHING.
TRINE, AN INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED PRIVATE, INDEPENDENT, CO-EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION OFFERS DEGREES IN VARIOUS PROGRAMS INCLUDING ENGINEERING, MATH, SCIENCE AND BUSINESS.
THE ALLEN SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY SERVED 951 STUDENTS IN 2018/2019. THE SCHOOL'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE THE APPLICATION OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY BY PREPARING GRADUATES FOR THE PRACTICE OF ENGINEERING AND ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY AT THE PROFESSIONAL LEVEL. TO ATTAIN ITS VISION, THE SCHOOL CONCENTRATES UPON THE EDUCATION OF ENGINEERS AND TECHNOLOGISTS WHO HAVE A BROAD EDUCATION; SEE THEMSELVES AS GLOBAL CITIZENS; HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR LEADERSHIP IN BUSINESS AND PUBLIC SERVICE; AND HAVE A STRONG ETHICAL FOUNDATION. THE SCHOOL OFFERS BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ENGINEERING DEGREES IN BIOMEDICAL, CHEMICAL, CIVIL, COMPUTER, ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL, AND SOFTWARE ENGINEERING, PLUS A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN DESIGN ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY. STUDENTS CAN MINOR IN AERONAUTICAL, BIOPROCESS, ENVIRONMENTAL, STRUCTURAL, ENERGY, BIOMEDICAL, PLASTICS, SOFTWARE, ROBOTICS, AND METALLURGICAL ENGINEERING.
954 STUDENTS SIGNED ATHLETIC PARTICIPATION FORM IN THE TRINE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT IN FISCAL YEAR 2019. THE MALE AND FEMALE POPULATION CHOSE FROM 32 TEAMS. THE STAFF INCLUDED 29 HEAD COACHES, 6 ATHLETIC TRAINERS, 2 SPORTS INFORMATION DIRECTORS, ONE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, ONE ASSISTANT ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, ONE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, AND 46 ASSISTANTS. THE GOALS OF THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT MEET OR EXCEED THOSE SET FORTH BY THE NATIONAL COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION DIVISION III AND THE MICHIGAN INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE. THE MISSION OF THIS DEPARTMENT IS TO PROVIDE INDIVIDUALS WITH A SUCCESSFUL PROGRAM OF STUDY ALONG WITH THE ENJOYMENT OF COLLEGE ATHLETICS, LEADING TO A SUCCESSFUL POST-GRADUATION LIFE. THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING YEAR-ROUND GUIDANCE, ACTIVITIES, AND SERVICES TO ITS ATHLETES AND THE COMMUNITY. FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE AND IN CONSTANT USE BY THE SCHOOL POPULATION AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY. SHORT-TERM AND LONG-TERM GOALS FOCUS ON PROVIDING ALL INDIVIDUALS WITH PROGRAMS AND APPROPRIATE SUPPORT TO ENHANCE THEIR POTENTIAL FOR INDIVIDUAL SUCCESS POTENTIAL FOR INDIVIDUAL SUCCESS.
THE DEPARTMENT OF STUDENT SUCCESS AND ENGAGEMENT EXISTS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS THE BEST COLLEGE EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE BOTH IN AND OUT OF THE CLASSROOM. THE PROFESSIONAL STAFF PROVIDES A NETWORK OF SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO HELP STUDENTS SUCCEED. THEY ALSO OVERSEE MORE THAN 70 STUDENT-RUN ORGANIZATIONS AND CREATE A SCHEDULE OF ENRICHING AND ENTERTAINING ACTIVITIES FOR STUDENTS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE YEAR. STUDENTS CAN CHOOSE FROM SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS, CHRISTIAN CAMPUS HOUSE, BLUE CREW SPIRIT SECTION, INTRAMURAL SPORTS, STUDENT GOVERNMENT, HONOR SOCIETIES, SORORITIES AND FRATERNITIES, AND PROFESSIONAL SOCIETIES. THE OFFICE PROVIDES SUPPORT DURING FINALS WEEK, SUCH AS MOONLIGHT BREAKFAST, WINGS AND LONGNECKS, ICE CREAM SOCIAL, AND STRESS-RELIEVING PROFESSIONAL MASSAGES. STUDENTS CAN EXPECT RANDOM POP-UP EVENTS AND GIVEAWAYS THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR ON VARIOUS DATES. COMEDIANS, PERFORMERS, ENTERTAINERS, BUS TRIPS AND MANY OTHER ACTIVITIES KEEP CAMPUS LIFE BUSY AND INTERESTING ALL YEAR. THE STAFF ORGANIZED MORE THAN 190 EVENTS FOR STUDENTS, FACULTY, STAFF AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2018-2019. INSTANCES OF INDIVIDUAL SERVICE NUMBERED IN THE THOUSANDS, WITH THE GREEK COMMUNITY RECORDING ROUGHLY 12,000 SERVICE HOURS DURING THE 2018-2019 ACADEMIC YEAR ALONE. OVER 1,500 STUDENTS LIVED ON CAMPUS DURING THE 2018-2019 ACADEMIC YEAR.
