Organizations Filed Purposes:
Represent the farmers voice on issues related to agriculture, educate the consumer and promote farm products, keep members abreast of policies and new developments.
We have a booth at the county 4-H fair where we educate the general public about agriculture. We have volunteers at the booth 12 hours a day for the 10 days of the fair answering questions about agriculture and discussing the display. The display showcased food grown in Indiana, showing people where their food comes from. Also at the booth was a question answer game with farm facts. Over 5,000 people from our county the neighboring cities came through the building with our display. 50 volunteers contributed hundreds of hours to making this a successful educational outreach project.
