Organizations Filed Purposes: THE FRATERNITY IS DEDICATED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE BEST AND TRUEST FRATERNAL SPIRIT, THE MUTUAL WELFARE AND BROTHERHOOD OF MUSICAL STUDENTS, THE ADVANCEMENT OF MUSIC IN AMERICA, AND A LOYALTY TO THE ALMA MATER.

PHI MU ALPHA CONTINUED TO EXPAND ITS INVOLVEMENT IN NATIONAL PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMS AND EVENTS IN 2019-20. THE FRATERNITY MAINTAINS PRIMARY NATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS WITH THE MIDWEST CLINIC, DRUM CORPS INTERNATIONAL, THE BARBERSHOP HARMONY SOCIETY AND THE TEXAS MUSIC EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION, AND CONTINUES TO ADD TO ITS PARTNER PROGRAMS ANNUALLY. THE INVESTMENT IN PARTNER PROGRAMS IS GEARED TOWARD INCREASED CONTACT AND ENGAGEMENT WITH ALUMNI MEMBERS WHO PARTICIPATE IN OUR PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS. SINFONIA EXPANDED ITS PRESENCE AT THE MIDWEST CLINIC, AND SIGNIFICANTLY EXPANDED ITS PRESENCE AT THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY TMEA CONVENTION IN SAN ANTONIA IN FEBRUARY, 2020. PARTICIPATION AND ENGAGEMENT CONTINUED TO INCREASE IN 2019-20, AND THE FRATERNITY INTERACTS ANNUALLY WITH MORE THAN 5,000 ALUMNI THROUGH THESE PROGRAMS, WHICH ALSO FULFILL OUR OBJECT BY SUPPORTING COMPANION ORGANIZATIONS WHO ADVANCE THE CAUSE OF MUSIC IN AMERICA.

THE FRATERNITY INVESTED IN A NEW FORMAT FOR COLLEGIATE LEADERSHIP EDUCATION WITH THE FIRST 'SINFONIA SUMMIT' EVENT IN 2019. THE EVENT PROVIDES A DEEP DIVE FOR COLLEGIATE CHAPTER OFFICERS INTO THE HISTORY, TRADITIONS, AND OBJECT OF THE FRATERNITY, AND PROVIDES THEM WITH EXPOSURE TO OUTSTANDING SPEAKERS AND PRESENTERS ON TOPICS RELEVANT TO DEVELOPING LEADERSHIP SKILLS. THE SUMMIT OFFERED NEW PROGRAMMING TO ASSIST CHAPTERS IN IMPLEMENTING OR IMPROVING CHAPTER MUSICAL ACTIVITIES, CULMINATING IN THE PERFORMANCE OF FOUR MILLS MUSIC MISSIONS IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY BY THE MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE.

THE FRATERNITY ALSO CONTINUED TO EXPAND ITS INVESTMENT IN CHAPTER OUTREACH PROGRAMS, AND STRENGTHENED ITS RISK MANAGEMENT EDUCATION OFFERINGS FOR THE 2019-20 SCHOOL YEAR. THIS REMAINS A SIGNIFICANT PROGRAM EXPENDITURE, AND HAS OFFERED CONSIDERABLE RETURN IN THE FORM OF IMPROVED LOCAL CHAPTER RISK MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS AND PARTICIPATION.
