The IEI program is impacting 11 schools and more than 2000 students in Sinoe County, Liberia. Each school has been equipped with a laptop digital classroom (SmartBox) with the latest learning software. Gospel Y-Clubs have been established in each school with over 200 in the program. Over 500 students participated in a 5-week summer school program. A Saturday program engaged 50 students in blockmaking, sewing, and gardening.
In addition to Sinoe County, the IEI program has supplied a total of nine SmartBoxes to schools in seven other Liberian counties. The SmartBoxes are being used for educational research and learning.
In addition to the 20 SmartBoxes IEI has provided to schools in Liberia, the organization has provided 20 SmartBoxes to schools and orphanages in 14 other countries of the world.
