"STRATEGIC COMMUNICATORS FOR COLLEGE ATHLETICS") WITHIN THE OVERALL COLLEGIATE ATHLETICS ENTERPRISE, THUS HELPING OTHER MANAGEMENT GROUPS AND THEIR RESPECTIVE MEMBERSHIPS DEAL WITH THE SET OF COMMUNICATIONS-BASED ISSUES THAT IS THE MOST COMPLEX AND CHALLENGING IN HISTORY.
EMPOWER MEMBERS IN THEIR ROLES AS COLLEGIATE SPORTS PUBLIC RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS PROFESSIONALS.
THE OBJECTIVES OF THIS ORGANIZATION INCLUDE PROVIDING A COLLECTIVE VOICE FOR SPORTS PR AND COMMUNICATIONS PROFESSIONALS IN PROMOTING THE IMAGE OF THEIR INSTITUTIONS AND THEIR PROFESSION BOTH INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY; ENCOURAGING DISCUSSIONS OF ISSUES AND EXCHANGE OF IDEAS THAT IMPACT AND ENHANCE THE IMAGE OF THEIR INSTITUTIONS AND THE ROLE OF SPORTS PR AND COMMUNICATIONS PROFESSIONALS; PROVIDING HELPFUL INFORMATION TO SPORTS PR AND COMMUNICATIONS PROFESSIONALS VIA VARIOUS WORKSHOPS, NEWSLETTERS, DIRECTORIES, SURVEYS, STUDIES, WEBSITES, ETC.; PROVIDING AND ENCOURAGING AN EMPHASIS ON DIVERSITY IN THE AREAS OF GENDER, RACE AND DIVISIONAL REPRESENTATION; PROVIDING IDEAS AND RESOURCES TO ENHANCE CURRENT AND DEVELOP NEW RECOGNITION PROGRAMS FOR COLLEGIATE STUDENT-ATHLETES AND ATHLETIC PROFESSIONALS; ALIGNING WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS WHOSE MISSIONS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH COSIDA.
