Soarin' Hawk Raptor Rehab's mission is to conserve our raptor population through education and rehabilitation.
Education: Soarin Hawk volunteers makes educational presentations at schools, libraries, nature parks, nature groups, and to home-schoolers and individual events. We provided 61 education programs during the 2019/2020 fiscal year, which is about one-half of our usual number. The reduction was due to COVID-19 restrictions. To continue to achieve our educational goals, we instituted a weekly (raptor) science seminar that is posted on social media. So far during the 2020/2021 year, we have provided 29 programs. Attendance has been very good, averaging 1,000 attendees, with one event having over 7,000 attendees.
