16 TECH COMMUNITY CORPORATION (16 TECH CC) IS DEDICATED TO THE CREATION OF THE 16 TECH INNOVATION DISTRICT, THE GEOGRAPHIC AREA DELIVERING A NEW APPROACH TO FOSTERING ECONOMIC GROWTH AND INNOVATION IN INDIANAPOLIS. 16 TECH CC EXPECTS TO CATALYZE THIS NEW FORM OF INNOVATION THROUGH A "PLACE-MAKING" STRATEGY, CREATING A ZONE OF ECONOMIC ACTIVITY DESIGNED WITH THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE OF ENGENDERING COLLABORATION AND INNOVATION AMONG INDIANA'S ADVANCED INDUSTRIES - LIFE SCIENCES, ADVANCED MANUFACTURING, AND TECH IN ALL ITS FORMS-AND LEADING ENTREPRENEURS.
AT ITS HEART, THE 16 TECH INNOVATION DISTRICT IS SIMULTANEOUSLY A VISION, A PART OF A BROADER STRATEGY, AND A PLACE. THE VISION IS ONE OF MOMENTUM, DRIVING CENTRAL INDIANA TO THE LEVEL OF GLOBAL LEADER THROUGH TALENT ATTRACTION, DEVELOPMENT, AND RETENTION. THE STRATEGY RESTS ON THE SPECIFIC DESIGN AND CREATION OF AN INNOVATION DISTRICT OF INTENTIONAL INCLUSIVENESS DESIGNED TO ATTRACT THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST TO INDIANAPOLIS. THE CO-LOCATION OF UNIVERSITY RESOURCES, RESEARCH FACILITIES, AND CORPORATE ASSETS WILL BE SUPPORTED WITH WRAP-AROUND QUALITY-OF-LIFE SERVICES ENCOURAGING A LIVE, WORK, PLAY, AND LEARN ENVIRONMENT.
