Our Core Values: As an ethnically and linguistically diverse group, BACI emphasizes on the inclusiveness and openness across the lines of different ethnic groups from Burma in its organizational development, and providing culturally and linguistically appropriate services to its clients. The past year has been one of growth and strengthening of our programs locally and with our new and strategic partnerships nationally and internationally. In 2019 alone, we assisted 2051 individuals with Citizenship and English language training, naturalization applications, and other immigration requirements, as well as provided support in gaining employment and training, scholarships, and college and university admissions. This made a total of over 10,000 individuals served since 2011. Similarly, we provided technical assistance to a number of start up organizations which is an important part of the overall successful integration of the community. Also, 19 community members completed Mental Health First Aid Training, conducted by BACI and its partners. With the highest enrollment in our Upward College Program for high school students thus far, we continue to maintain 100% admissions in postsecondary institutitions
