OUR MISSION IS TO CHAMPION, SUPPORT AND CONNECT OUR MEMBERS AS THEY TRANSFORM INDIANA THROUGH EFFECTIVE PHILANTHROPY.
MEMBERS SERVICES - INDIANA PHILANTHROPY ALLIANCE (IPA) ENCOURAGES AN ORGANIZED AND KNOWLEDGEABLE PHILANTHROPY SECTOR THAT IS ACKNOWLEDGED FOR ITS IMPACT ON KEY ISSUES AFFECTING INDIANA. DURING 2019, IPA HELD MULTIPLE NETWORKING/PEER GATHERINGS ACROSS THE STATE, PRODUCED 10 E-NEWSLETTERS FOR MEMBERS, TRACKED STATE AND NATIONAL LEGISLATION AFFECTING THE SECTOR, FACILITATED MEETINGS FOR MEMBERS WITH STATE AND CONGRESSIONAL ELECTED OFFICIALS, SUPPORTED A WEBSITE AND PROVIDED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND WEB- BASED ACCESS TO VETTED TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL RESOURCES. IPA ACHIEVED A 92% MEMBER RETENTION RATE AND RECEIVED AN OVERALL MEMBER SATISFACTION RATING OF 4 ON A 5 POINT SCALE.
GRANTMAKER EDUCATION AND RESOURCES - INDIANA PHILANTHROPY ALLIANCE (IPA) MAKES AVAILABLE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO FULFILL THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT NEEDS OF MEMBERS BY PROVIDING QUALITY AND DIVERSE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE, TO AS MANY MEMBERS OF THE ALLIANCE AS POSSIBLE. DURING 2019, IPA PROVIDED 46 GRANTMAKER EDUCATION PROGRAMS. THERE WERE 1,818 ATTENDEES AT IPA PROGRAMS, WITH AN AVERAGE EVALUATION RATING OF 4.2 ON A 5.00 SCALE. IPA'S WEBSITE INCLUDES AN ONLINE SEARCHABLE KNOWLEDGEBASE OF RESOURCES ACROSS A WIDE RANGE OF TOPICS FOR FOUNDATIONS AND GRANTMAKING ORGANIZATIONS.
PUBLIC POLICY - IPA'S ADVOCACY EFFORTS IN 2019 INCLUDED MONITORING RELEVANT STATE AND FEDERAL LEGISLATION AND PROVIDING INFORMATION TO MEMBERS ABOUT THE STATUS VIA EMAILS, ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTERS, AND INFORMATION POSTED ON THE IPA WEBSITE; ACTIVE LOBBYING WITH MEMBERS OF CONGRESS ON TOPICS RELATED TO PHILANTHROPY AND CHARITABLE GIVING; CREATING INFORMATIONAL MATERIALS ABOUT THE ROLES AND IMPACT OF INDIANA FOUNDATIONS TO EDUCATE ELECTED OFFICIALS; AND ARRANGING IN-PERSON VISITS WITH ELECTED OFFICIALS TO SHARE INFORMATION ABOUT IPA AND MEMBER FOUNDATIONS, AS WELL AS TO DISCUSS POTENTIAL PUBLIC POLICIES AFFECTING PHILANTHROPY.
