Organizations Filed Purposes: INRC WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO NEIGHBORHOOD-BASED ORGANIZATIONS AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATIONS THROUGHOUT MARION COUNTY.

INRC, THROUGH FACILITATION, TRAINING AND COACHING, STRENGTHENS THE CAPACITY OF NEIGHBORHOOD-BASED ORGANIZATIONS AND NEIGHBORS TO MOBILIZE EXISTING ASSETS, SUPPORT GRASSROOTS LEADERSHIP AND FOSTER COLLABORATION

INFORMATION RESOURCE AND REFERRAL SERVICES FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BASED ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING INDIVIDUALIZED TRAINING, WORKSHOPS, SEMINARS, AND COACHING. INRC OFFERED WORKSHOPS TO OVER 700 NEIGHBORS AND PARTNERING ORGANIZATIONS. TOPICS INCLUDED COLLABORATION, PROJECT MANAGEMENT, INCLUSION AND LEADERSHIP. THREE NEIGHBORHOODS COMPLETED THE INDIANAPOLIS COMMUNITY BUILDING INSTITUTE (ICBI), A 6 MONTH LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM DESIGNED FOR GRASSROOTS COMMUNITY LEADERS, AND SEVEN NEIGHBORHOOD ORGANIZATIONS BEGAN ICBI. INRC PROVIDED CAPACITY BUILDING ASSISTANCE TO OVER 200 NEIGHBORHOOD-BASED ORGANIZATIONS. SUPPORT INCLUDED: CUSTOMIZED TRAINING SESSIONS, NEIGHBORHOOD PLANNING, PROJECT CONSULTATION, ASSET MAPPING, AND MEETING FACILITATION. INRC AWARDED ITS 14TH COLLABORATIVE SPIRIT AWARD AT ITS 25TH ANNUAL MEETING, TO THE TO THE FAR EASTSIDE COMMUNITY COUNCIL (FECC) FOR THE FAR EASTSIDE FESTIVAL.

THE PUBLIC ALLIES PROGRAM ADVANCES NEW LEADERSHIP TO STRENGTHEN COMMUNITIES, NONPROFITS, AND CIVIC PARTICIPATION. INRC SERVES AS THE LOCAL OPERATING PARTNER FOR AMERICORPS PUBLIC ALLIES INDIANAPOLIS. PUBLIC ALLIES IS AN AMERICORPS SERVICE PROGRAM THAT STRENGTHENS COMMUNITIES AND NONPROFITS BY PROVIDING LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TO LOCAL, DIVERSE LEADERS WHO ARE PLACED WITH INDIANAPOLIS NOT-FOR-PROFITS, HELPING BUILD ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY. ALLIES ATTEND REGULAR SKILL BUILDING AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS WITH THEIR COHORT OF ALLIES, AND RECEIVE LIFE AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COACHING ALONG THE WAY. DURING THEIR TERM OF SERVICE, ALLIES WORK TO STRENGTHEN THE ORGANIZATION WITH WHOM THEY ARE PLACED, WORK WITH A TEAM OF ALLIES AND NEIGHBORHOOD-BASED ORGANIZATION ON A TERM-LONG SERVICE PROJECT, AND CONNECT WITH LEADERS AND ORGANIZATIONS IN THE COMMUNITY TO HELP ADDRESS REAL ISSUES. THE 2019 CLASS OF AMERICORPS PUBLIC ALLIES INDIANAPOLIS CELEBRATED 18 GRADUATES WHO WERE PLACED WITH 16 NOT FOR PROFITS ACROSS INDIANAPOLIS.
