WORKING IN COLLABORATION WITH BUSINESSES, ORGANIZATIONS, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND INDIVIDUAL CITIZENS, THE CENTER EXPANDS INDIANA'S GLOBAL INTEREST THROUGH A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS AND SERVICES AND THROUGH CONVENING DIVERSE INTERESTS WHO SHARE COMMON INTERNATIONAL GOALS.

CULTURAL TRAINING AND INFORMATION/REFERRAL ASSISTANCE FOR INDIVIDUALS, THEIR SPOUSES AND CHILDREN THAT ARE EITHER RELOCATING TO/FROM INDIANA FROM/TO OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES AND COMMUNITY ORIENTATION FOR INDIVIDUALS, THEIR SPOUSES AND CHILDREN THAT ARE RELOCATING TO INDIANA FROM OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES.
VARIOUS PROJECTS, PROGRAMS AND EVENTS THAT PROVIDE CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING, APPRECIATION AND EDUCATIONAL NEEDS FOR INDIANA CITIZENS, INCLUDING STUDENTS AND TEACHERS, AND INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE RELOCATED TO INDIANA FROM OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES. GLOBAL TIES U.S.: AN INITIATIVE OF THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE, BUREAU OF EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS THAT BRINGS EMERGING LEADERS FROM OVERSEAS TO INDIANA TO MEET WITH PROFESSIONAL COUNTERPARTS AND EXPERIENCE THE UNITED STATES FIRSTHAND. ORIENTATION PROGRAMS: TRAINING AND ASSISTANCE TO HELP RELOCATED INTERNATIONALS AND THEIR FAMILIES. PRE-DEPARTURE AND REPATRIATION PROGRAMS: ASSISTANCE TO HELP INDIVIDUALS DEPARTING/RETURNING FROM INTERNATIONAL ASSIGNMENTS. PROTOCOL OFFICE PROGRAMS: ADVISES ORGANIZATIONS ON PRACTICES TO ENABLE MEETINGS/EVENTS OF DIFFERENT NATIONS TO COME TOGETHER WITH PROPER MUTUAL RESPECT. SEMINAR PROGRAMS: FOCUS ON LEARNING ABOUT OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES OF GLOBALIZATION AND BUILDING ON CULTURAL DIVERSITY. LOCAL VOLUNTEERS PROGRAMS: VOLUNTEERS WHO INTRODUCE FOREIGN GUESTS TO HOOSIER HOSPITALITY. CROSS CULTURAL TRAINING PROGRAMS: ASSISTANCE TO THE REGION'S MULTICULTURAL POPULATION AND TO SUPPORT EMPLOYERS IN CREATING GREATER UNDERSTANDING OF CULTURAL DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE. COLLABORATIONS AND PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMS: THE CENTER JOINS WITH OTHER NONPROFITS TO MAXIMIZE THE IMPACT OF ITS WORK.
