PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES AND RECOGNITION FOR STUDENTS, STAFF AND COMMUNITY PARTICIPATING IN ACTIVITIES RELATING TO EDUCATION AND THE ARTS.
School classroom awards totaled $5,308 and student scholarships totaled $4,615. These were paid for from the Warren Arts and Education Foundation program service revenue. For over 20 years the Foundation has awarded awards to teachers and schools to enhance student educational opportunities. Approximately 60 students are recognized annually for outstanding achievement in 7 areas of the arts.
Missoula Theatre is an opportunity for Kindergarten through 8th grade students to perform in a theatre presentation. Paid from the Warren Arts and Education Foundation Program Service Revenue The Foundation funded the annual "Missoula Children's Theatre" to provide a theatrical experience for Kindergarten through 8th grade students. After auditions, 65 students were cast for the play. Following one week of intense after school rehearsals they had two public performances. The directors held workshops and assemblies during the school day. This project exposes students to theatre and the effort it requires to work together for a new show.
Warren Arts provides support to the local school district thru various programs including assisting with furtherance of the arts thru performance, education, and improvements to facilities used for the arts. Warren Arts hosts public events to communicate and to engage the public to further the arts.
