Organizations Filed Purposes:
OPERATION OF A COMMUNITY CENTER FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC INCLUDING RESIDENTS OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD SURROUNDING THE PREMISES, AND TO ENSURE HEALTH, SOCIAL, RECREATIONAL, OR SIMILAR COMMUNITY SERVICES ARE PROVIDED.
THE COMMUNITY HEALTH INITIATIVE IDENTIFIES COMMUNITY MEMBERS' NEEDS IN SOCIAL SERVICES. IN ADDITION, IT BRIDGES THE GAP BETWEEN PROVIDERS OF HEALTH, SOCIAL, AND COMMUNITY SERVICES AND THE UNDERSERVED AND HARD-TO- REACH POPULATIONS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. THE COMMUNITY HEALTH INITIATIVE REACHED MORE THAN 3,500 INDIVIDUALS ACROSS NINE PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES.
SUMMER CAMP FACILITIES EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATIONAL LEARNING THROUGH HANDS ON PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES WITH A FOCUS ON SOCIALIZATION, RECREATION, AND EDUCATION. AN AVERAGE OF 55 YOUTH WERE IN ATTENDANCE EACH WEEK DURING A 10-WEEK SUMMER CAMP.
YOUTH DIVISION: THE AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM IS TO IMPROVE READING COMPETENCY, MATH SKILLS, AND THE INTELLECTUAL PROGRESSION, WHICH IN TURN MAKES YOUTH MORE SUCCESSFUL IN SCHOOL AND CONTRIBUTES TO AN APPRECIATION FOR LEARNING. OVER 2,000 UNITS OF AFTER-SCHOOL SERVICES WERE PROVIDED. AN AVERAGE OF 45 YOUTH WERE IN ATTENDANCE EACH WEEK.
