Peace through Yoga Foundation's mission is to make an impact through transformational yoga retreats and service. International retreats are offered to include yoga, adventure, and service. The service creates genuine connections and learning experiences with local communities. Our service focus is to enrich, educate, and empower girls in rural areas. The hope is for each girl to reach their full intellectual and earning potential so that they become self-sufficient leaders in their communities.
Peace through Yoga Foundation's mission is to enrich, educate, and empower under priviledged children in Costa Rica. Our global project and service work on our Humanitarian/Adventure/Yoga retreats is in Carbon I, a small village two miles inland from Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. There are about 300 inhabitants spread throughout a large area of approximately one square mile. It is a needy area with children and their families we have come to know and love. Our program offers 16 girls aged 7 to 12 the opportunity to further their learning after school. Each day our students learn English and sewing as well as art and music. Each month students participate in a life skills workshop or an educational excursion
