VISUAL ART EXHIBITS AND PERFORMANCES - APPROXIMATELY 30 OPEN-TO-THE-PUBLIC AND FREE-OF-CHARGE EXHIBITS IN 5 EXHIBIT SPACES WERE HOSTED. OUTSIDE SCHOOL SYSTEM AND NONPROFIT PARTNERS ALSO UTILIZED PUBLIC EXHIBIT SPACE FOR COMMUNITY EXHIBITS, ACTIVITIES, AND EVENTS. ACA AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS PRESENTED APPROXIMATELY 130 PERFORMANCES AND CULTURAL EVENTS. PERFORMANCES AND EVENTS INCLUDED MUSIC PERFORMANCES IN MULTIPLE GENRES, DANCE, THEATRE, SPOKEN WORD, FILM, MET OPERA LIVE BROADCASTS, AND MORE TO APPROXIMATELY 30,000 AUDIENCE MEMBERS.

EDUCATION AND OUTREACH - ACA'S EDUCATION DEPARTMENT PROVIDES ARTS AND CULTURAL PROGRAMMING TO STUDENTS AND TEACHERS THROUGH TOURING ARTS PERFORMANCES, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS, TEACHING ARTIST PROGRAM, PACE, SUMMER CAMPS, AND MORE. TOURING ARTS REACHED 10,075 STUDENTS AND 430 TEACHERS; 96 TEACHERS AND TEACHING ARTISTS ATTENDED 8 PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS; 4,677 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN 306 INNOVATIVE ARTS ACTIVITY SESSIONS; 5,024 PACE SESSIONS IMPACTED 157 TEACHERS AND 3,454 STUDENTS; 788 STUDENTS RECEIVED IN-DEPTH ARTS LEARNING WITH THEIR 27 EDUCATORS IN 12 PROJECTS FUNDED THROUGH ARTS GRANTS IN THE SCHOOLS; OVER 200 CHILDREN ATTENDED SUMMER CAMPS. ACA'S OUTREACH DEPARTMENT PROVIDES PROGRAMS FOR SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY MEMBERS, AND INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS. MASTER CLASSES, LECTURES, AND COMMUNITY RESIDENCES CONNECT TO PERFORMANCES. ARTSPARK, ARTIST GRANTS, AND RESIDENCY @ THE CENTER ARE PLATFORMS TO DEVELOP ORIGINAL WORK IN VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS. PLAY IT AGAIN COLLECTS, REPAIRS, AND RECYCLES BAND INSTRUMENTS TO SCHOOLS. SILENT SEATS IS A PARTNERSHIP WITH SOCIAL SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE LIVE PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCE TO ALL INDIVIDUALS.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - THROUGH STATE AND LOCAL RE-GRANT PROGRAMS, ACA'S COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT (CDD) AWARDED OVER 278,000 IN GRANT FUNDS TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, SCHOOLS, AND UNIVERSITIES IN EIGHT PARISHES IN SUPPORT OF EXHIBITS, PERFORMANCES, WORKSHOPS, PUBLIC ART, AUDIENCE SERVICES, AND MORE. GRANTS BENEFITED OVER 300,000 PEOPLE, OF WHICH OVER 7,000 WERE VOLUNTEERS, AND 6,878 ARTISTS PARTICIPATED, OF WHICH OVER 3,400 OF THOSE ARTISTS WERE EMPLOYED TO PRODUCE 3,250 ARTS ACTIVITIES. IN ADDITION, THE CDD PROVIDED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN GRANT WRITING, ARTS ADVOCACY, BUILDING PARTICIPATION IN THE ARTS, AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT, PROGRAMMING, PROJECT BUDGET DEVELOPMENT, STRATEGIC PLANNING, MARKETING, AND VOLUNTEERISM, AS WELL AS PRODUCTION OF A LOCAL PUBLIC BROADCAST SHOW HIGHLIGHTING LOCAL ARTISTS AND THEIR WORK.
