Organizations Filed Purposes:
Basin Arts creates opportunities for artistic expression across generations aimed at enhancing the artistic identity of the local community.
Basin Arts provided low cost visual arts and dance classes to the Acadiana community. Students received instruction from professional level dance and art instructors. In 2018 Basin Arts provided over 1,2000 class which created over 6,300 unique creative experiences.
Basin Dance Collective is the professional company-in-residence housed within Basin Arts. In 2018 the dance company raised funds for Basin Arts through two productions that collaborated with and supported additional areas of art within the community.
Basin Arts Outreach Program brings dance and arts directly to the community. In 2018 Basin Arts brought professional dancer to schools and engaged over 1,000 children in the art of dance. Classes were also taught in senior living homes and in summer of 2018 Basin Arts held a collabortive summer camp to merge dance and art.
