Organizations Filed Purposes:
To provide a meeting place where veterans can socialize and get information related to veterans benefits, as well as providing support and entertainment for smaller veteran organizations in the area.
Recreation for Veterans-The legion provides a gathering place for social events attended by approximately 550 members and their families.
Support for and donations to other organizations and individuals, such as, The Ladies Auxiliary, The Disabled American Veterans, other American Legion Posts, and military veterans in need.
Newsletter-This is a local and national newsletter to all of the members of Post #1. It includes a calendar of events for the upcoming month, announcements regarding members of our organization, and a listing of any changes that will affect the members. There are approximately 650 copies per month.
