THE CENTER FOR PROGRESSIVE REFORM IS A 501C3 NONPROFIT RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION WITH A NETWORK OF MEMBER SCHOLARS WORKING TO PROTECT HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ENVIRONMENT THROUGH ANALYSIS AND COMMENTARY.
Academic Papers & Studies: CPR develops rigorously researched, cutting-edge reports and studies that make an impact on debates about public health and environmental protection. CPRs publications are strategically crafted to enhance public understanding of a progressive vision for good government, as well as explore new ways to achieve optimum results for people and the environment. These publications cover a diverse set of issues including environmental and occupational health and safety, consumer protection, administrative and regulatory policy, and corporate accountability.
Website & Communications: CPR maintains a website rich in resources for policymakers, public interest advocates, researchers, the media, and the general public. A key piece of the website is the organizations widely read blog, CPRBlog, which is updated frequently with analysis and commentary by CPRs Member Scholars, staff, and occasional guest bloggers. By cross-promoting new content from the blog and website through social media channels like Facebook and Twitter, CPR provides services directly for the benefit of the general public on a continuing basis.
CPR Member Scholar Activities: CPR Member Scholars are professors of law, economics, and philosophy from across the United States. In addition to their contributions to CPRs academic papers and studies, CPR Scholars publish work in traditional and new media outlets, file public comments with regulatory agencies, brief Members of Congress and their staff, plan and participate in conferences and symposia, meet individually with public officials, and work with public interest organizations and community groups to promote public policy reform.
