Barkus is organized to raise awareness for humane treatment of animals spaying and neutering of pets, homeless animals and working/rescue dogs. Barkus Conducts activities to raise public awareness and makes grants to organizations that prevent cruelty to animals, search and rescue animals stranded in natural disasters, promote and perform speying and neutering of animals, assist in adoption of animals, provide shelter for animals.

Grants to humane societies, animal rescue organizations, speying and neutering organizations and related organizations. No grant to any one organization exceeded $5,000 during 2019.
