Organizations Filed Purposes: THE UNIVERSITY OF HOLY CROSS, A CATHOLIC INSTITUTION OF HIGHER LEARNING, IS AN INCLUSIVE STUDENT-CENTERED LEARNING COMMUNITY FOCUSED ON ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AND INNOVATIVE TEACHING. ROOTED IN THE TRADITIONS OF THE MARIANITES OF HOLY CROSS, THE UNIVERSITY IS COMMITTED TO EDUCATING THE MINDS AND HEARTS OF ITS STUDENTS THROUGH FREEDOM OF INQUIRY, THE PURSUIT OF TRUTH, AND COMPASSIONATE CARE FOR ALL.

SCHOLARSHIPS, GRANTS, & LOANS - FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2018-2019, 74 STUDENTS RECEIVED SCHOLARSHIPS FROM UHC AND 101 STUDENTS RECEIVED SCHOLARSHIPS FROM PRIVATE SOURCES. MOST STUDENTS WERE AWARDED THE SCHOLARSHIPS ON THE BASIS OF ACADEMIC MERIT AND/OR UNMET FINANCIAL NEED. OTHERS WERE GRANTED AWARDS BASED ON ACADEMIC MERIT ONLY. A TOTAL OF 175 SCHOLARSHIPS IN THE AMOUNT OF $559,797 HAVE BEEN AWARDED.FOR FISCAL YEAR 2018-2019, 937 STUDENTS WERE ABLE TO RECEIVE SOME FORM OF FINANCIAL AID. MANY STUDENTS WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PURSUE A POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION WERE IT NOT FOR THE FINANCIAL AID PROGRAMS. THE UNIVERSITY PARTICIPATES IN THE TITLE IV FEDERAL CAMPUS BASED PROGRAMS AS WELL AS THE FEDERAL PELL GRANT PROGRAM AND DISADVANTAGED NURSING SCHOLARSHIPS.- 412 STUDENTS WERE ASSISTED AND ABLE TO RECEIVE $1,612,692 IN PELL GRANTS.- 851 STUDENTS RECEIVED $9,311,048 IN FEDERAL SUBSIDIZED AND UNSUBSIDIZED STAFFORD LOANS.- 74 STUDENTS RECEIVED $69,248 IN FEDERAL S.E.O.G.- 34 STUDENTS RECEIVED $84,320 IN FEDERAL WORK-STUDY GRANTS.- 172 STUDENTS RECEIVED $913,090 FROM THE LOUISIANA T.O.P.S. PROGRAM.- 39 STUDENTS RECEIVED $64,423 FROM LOUISIANA G.O. GRANTS.- 74 STUDENTS RECEIVED $296,152 FROM UHC SCHOLARSHIPS.- 101 STUDENTS RECEIVED $263,645 FROM PRIVATE SOURCE SCHOLARSHIPS.- AN ADDITIONAL $245,325 IN STUDENT AID WAS FROM VARIOUS OTHER AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS.UNIVERSITY OF HOLY CROSS WAS ABLE TO AWARD $12,859,943 IN STUDENT AID FROM INSTITUTIONAL, PRIVATE, STATE, AND FEDERAL SOURCES.

INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES - PER SEMESTER, APPROXIMATELY 1,540 STUDENTS WERE SERVICED IN APPROXIMATELY 467 SPECIFIC COURSES OF STUDY IN 37 DEGREE PROGRAMS. ADDITIONALLY, INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES WERE DELIVERED TO THE CIVIC COMMUNITY THROUGH EXTENT OUTREACH PROGRAMS.

STUDENT SERVICES ENCOMPASSES VARIOUS SERVICES:THE REGISTRAR'S OFFICE PROVIDES PUBLICATIONS, COMPUTERIZED STUDENT RECORDS, AND OTHER ACADEMIC SERVICES TO PROSPECTIVE AND CURRENT STUDENTS.STUDENT SERVICES PROVIDES FUNDING FOR 5 PROFESSIONAL CLUBS.THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION OFFERS A MULTI-FACETED ARENA OF SOCIAL EVENTS AND ENTERTAINMENT ON AND OFF CAMPUS FOR STUDENTS.THE DIVISION OF STUDENT AFFAIRS FUNDS A HOST OF INTRAMURAL SPORTS AT THE UNIVERSITY, WHICH ARE AVAILABLE TO ALL STUDENTS.THE SECURITY OFFICE OVERSEES THE SECURITY OF THE CAMPUS AND PARKING LOTS.THE HURRICANE CAFE PROVIDES FOOD SERVICES TO ALL STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND STAFF.STUDENT SERVICES ALSO INCLUDES TRAVEL, WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS IN ADDITION TO ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT FOR STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS, ADMISSIONS AND RECRUITING STAFF OF THE UNIVERSITY.STUDENT SERVICES ALSO INCLUDES AN ON CAMPUS HEALTH OFFICE (PROVIDING ROUTINE HEALTH SERVICES AND FIRST AID), STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS FUNDING AND SUPPORT, STUDENT SPORTS SUPPORT FOR EQUIPMENT, ADMISSIONS AND RECRUITING STAFF OF THE UNIVERSITY.
