Organizations Filed Purposes:
To Protect, Educate, and Empower orphans from the Republic of South Sudan.
In 2019, the ASAH students continued at boarding schools in Kampala. Forty-three girls boarded at St. Noa Primary and Secondary Boarding. Three boys boarded at St. Lawrence-Academy. These top schools provide high quality education as well as extracurricular activities like sports and scouting. During the two month-long breaks in April-May and August-September, we pay to board our girls at the school, and pay the school for boarding and food and activities like extra computer classes, sports, and so on. We hire the school bus and our staff takes them on field trips. When school ends in early December, we transport our students to the refugee camps in Uganda where they stay with family or friends until the end of December. We provide food rations to share with their extended families. Food needs around the world exceed the food available to food aid organizations. In January, we transport our students to ChildVoice International, a U.S.-based nonprofit program that provides vocational training for teenage girls who are pregnant or have one or more children and no education or husband to support them. We paid to build housing for our girls, which CV can use when we're not there. The first year our girls learned baking skills - buns, cakes, chapatti, and so on.
