The Great North Pole's mission is to work with local non-profits and community partnerships to help children and families in need in the counties of Cass & Clay. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to experience the joy of Christmas and the holiday season.
To help families in need by providing basic needs and gifts during the Christmas season.
The Great North Pole provides information on their program to local schools and other non-profits within their area. For example, children that are part of the free or reduced meal program would be provided information on the program. There is then an application process to "opt-in" to the receipt of the Helpful Holiday Boxes.In 2019, the Great North Pole utilized over 125 corporate relationships and community partnerships to help make cash and in-kind donations turn into retail goods with a market value of more than $1.6 million dollars multiplying many times the original monetary donation. This allowed us to help more families in need and to provide not only basic needs to our community members, but also gifts to the children of these families.The Week of Giving is our opportunity to give back as a community to local families in need. Because of the support from our volunteers during the week of giving, we were able to deliver "Helpful Holiday Boxes" to 855 families in Cass & Clay county which served 3,650 individuals. This is only possible with the help of our 1300+ volunteers as well as local businesses. Thank you for joining us and giving back!In 2019, the Great North Pole started a new program which paid all of the outstanding lunch balances for Fargo/Moorhead community public school students.
