TO CONDUCT RESEARCH ON THE ETIOLOGY, PATHOGENESIS, BIOMARKERS, AND TREATMENT OF MYALGIC ENCEPHELOMYELITIS (ME) FORMERLY KNOW AS CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME (CFS). OUR MISSION STATEMENT IS TO SCIENTIFICALLY REDEFINE ME/CFS.
SIMMARON SPONSORS AND CONDUCTS RESEARCH PROJECTS THAT DEEPEN THE SCIENTIFIC UNDERSTANDING OF ME/CFS AND OTHER NEURO-IMMUNE DESEASES. THIS RESEARCH IS PURSUED WITH INTENT TO DEVELOP/REFINE DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND TREATMENTS TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ME/CFS PATIENTS. IN 2017, SIMMARON BEGAN COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH WITH CORNELL UNIVERSITY. THE SCIENTIFIC DIRECTOR AT THE UNIVERSITY IS PART OF TWO TEAMS AWARDED COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH CENTER GRANTS FROM THE NIH. IN 2019, THe COLLABORATION WITH CORNELL CONTINUED AND RESULTED IN A JOURNAL ARTICLE PUBLICATION TO WHICH SIMMARON SIGNIFICANTLY CONTRIBUTED (VIA RESEARCH STAFF LABOR AND SAMPLE SUBMISSION)
