Organizations Filed Purposes: WE COMMIT TO OFFERING HELP, HOPE AND HEALING TO THOSE AFFECTED BY SEXUAL VIOLENCE. WE PROVIDE EDUCATION, AWARENESS, AND SUPPORT AS FAR A ARMS CAN REACH.

ASSIST VICTIMS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT.

CRISIS RESPONSE: THROUGH A GROUP OF DEDICATED AND WELL-TRAINED VOLUNTEERS AND STAFF, THE ORGANIZATION RUNS A 24-HOUR HOTLINE FOR VICTIMS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT, AND ANYONE NEEDING ASSISTANCE, INFORMATION, REFERRALS OR RESOURCES RELATED TO SEXUAL ASSAULT. IN ADDITION, THEY OPERATE A 24-HOUR HOTLINE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT AND THE NATIONAL HUMAN TRAFFICKING HOTLINE TO PROVIDE ON-SCENE CRISIS RESPONSE TO VICTIMS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING. VOLUNTEERS AND STAFF ALSO RESPOND 24/7 IN PERSON TO VICTIMS BEING SEEN FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT EXAMS AT UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER. 649 VICTIMS WERE SEEN AT THE HOSPITAL IN THE FISCAL YEAR, AND 4,471 HOTLINE CALLS WERE TAKEN. IN ADDITION, WE SEE EXTENSIVE USE OF OUR WEBSITE, WITH OVER 9,700 WEBSITE VISITS OVER THE COURSE OF THE YEAR. ADVOCACY: THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES LONG-TERM ADVOCACY TO VICTIMS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT. THESE SERVICES INCLUDE ASSISTANCE WITH ACCESSING VICTIMS OF CRIME COMPENSATION, COURT ADVOCACY AND ACCOMPANIMENT, ASSISTANCE WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT, ADVOCACY IN SCHOOLS WITH TITLE IX RELATED ISSUES, ADVOCACY FOR YOUNG JUVENILES AND FAMILIES DEALING WITH CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE, AND NEW THIS YEAR, RESPONSES TO THE LVMPD AREA COMMANDS FOR CLIENTS COMING TO MAKE DELAYED REPORTS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT AND ABUSE. THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTS REGULAR ADVOCACY TRAINING FOR VOLUNTEERS AND ADVOCATES IN ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT THE AREA. HUNDREDS OF CLIENTS WERE ASSISTED DURING THE YEAR WITH THESE SERVICES, INCLUDING AT THE NEWLY ESTABLISHED FAMILY JUSTICE CENTER, A COLLABORATIVE CENTER FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE TO RECEIVE SERVICES UNDER ONE ROOF.

COUNSELING AND SUPPORT: THROUGH A GRANT FROM THE NEVADA WOMEN'S PHILANTHROPY, IN 2010 THE ORGANIZATION DEVELOPED THE SIGNS OF HOPE COUNSELING CENTER TO PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP SUPPORT TO VICTIMS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT AND ABUSE. THE CENTER PROVIDES INDIVIDUAL THERAPEUTIC SERVICES TO BOTH PRIMARY AND SECONDARY VICTIMS. IN ADDITION, NUMEROUS SUPPORT GROUPS ARE NOW AVAILABLE, AND THERAPIST LED. GROUPS ARE ALSO FACILITATED WEEKLY FOR VICTIMS WHO ARE IN DETENTION AND AT THE WOMEN'S PRISON, AS WELL AS AT THE HOMELESS SHELTER FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN. 3,784 HOURS OF INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING WERE PROVIDED TO AN AVERAGE OF 143 ACTIVE CLIENTS EACH MONTH, WITH OVER 1,317 INDIVIDUALS ATTENDING SUPPORT GROUPS OVER THE COURSE OF THE YEAR. WITH A MOVE TO EXPAND OFFICE SPACE DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR, THERE WAS TREMENDOUS GROWTH IN THE COUNSELING CENTER, MOVING FROM 2-5 COUNSELING OFFICES, AND ADDING ADDITIONAL THERAPIST AND SPECIALTIES, INCLUDING SERVICES TO YOUNGER CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF THREE AND TEN.

EDUCATION AND OUTREACH: IT IS THE BELIEF OF THE ORGANIZATION THAT WHILE VICTIMS' SERVICES ARE CRITICAL TO OUR MISSION, EQUALLY IMPORTANT IS PREVENTION EDUCATION AND OUTREACH TO STOP THE EPIDEMIC OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE IN OUR SOCIETY. AS SUCH, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES PROGRAMS AT ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE CLARK COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT, INCLUDING CHARTER AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS, AND COMMUNITY VENUES. ALTOGETHER, OVER 12,411 STUDENTS RECEIVED PREVENTION PROGRAMMING OVER THE FISCAL YEAR, ALONG WITH HUNDREDS OF ADULTS RECEIVING INFORMATION THROUGH OUR ENOUGH ABUSE CAMPAIGN. WE ALSO TRAINED WELL OVER 1,300 HOTEL AND CLUB SECURITY AND FOOD AND BEVERAGE PERSONNEL ON RECOGNIZING PREDATORY BEHAVIOR AND STOPPING ASSAULTS BEFORE THEY HAPPEN. OUTREACH EVENTS REACH THOUSANDS OF ADULTS AND CHILDREN TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND RESOURCE INFORMATION.
