Organizations Filed Purposes: TO CARRY ON CHARITABLE WORK IN THE FIELD OF RELIGION, EDUCATION & SOCIAL WELFARE WITHIN NORTHERN NEVADA.

CATHOLIC CHARITIES BELIEVES THAT BRINGING HOPE TO PEOPLE BUILDS SPIRIT AND SELF-RELIANCE WITHIN THEM AND WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY. TO THAT END, WE OPERATE SEVERAL FOOD SERVICE OPERATIONS TO PROVIDE HOPE, ENGAGEMENT, AND SUSTENANCE TO PEOPLE IN NEED. ST. VINCENT'S FOOD PANTRY IS THE LARGEST FOOD PANTRY IN NEVADA, SERVING MORE THAN 10,000 PEOPLE EACH MONTH. IN COLLABORATION WITH USDA, LOCAL BUSINESSES AND SERVICE GROUPS, WE OFFER FRESH, CANNED, AND PACKAGED FOOD PRODUCTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED, AT NO COST TO THEM. ST. VINCENT'S DINING ROOM SERVES A HOT LUNCH 6 DAYS A WEEK TO AN AVERAGE OF 370 OF RENO'S MOST SEVERELY UNDERNOURISHED INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES. WE ALSO ASSIST WITH SNAP ENROLLMENT, PROVIDE HOLIDAY MEALS, AND OPERATE SOCIAL SERVICE OUTREACH "ONE STOP SHOP" SERVICES TO 11 OF NEVADA'S 17 COUNTIES.

OUR HUMAN SERVICES OPERATIONS INCLUDES THE RESOURCE HUB, WHICH LIES AT THE VERY CORE OF OUR OBJECTIVE TO HELP THE MOST DISADVANTAGED AND VULNERABLE PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY. WE PROVIDE A RANGE OF BASIC NEEDS, FROM DIAPERS AND ID CARDS, TO COORDINATED SERVICES THAT PREVENT EVICTION AND HOMELESSNESS, (SUCH AS ENERGY AND RENTAL ASSISTANCE). THE RESOURCE HUB OPERATES THE MOTELS TO HOMES PROGRAM TO HELP FAMILIES FIND SECURITY AND PERMANENT HOUSING. WE ALSO SERVE AS THE MATCHMAKING AGENCY FOR THE NORTHERN NEVADA CONTINUUM OF CARE, A COORDINATED ENTRY PROGRAM DESIGNED TO STREAMLINE ACCESS TO RESOURCES AND CASE MANAGEMENT, TO FACILITATE INCREASED CLIENT STABILIZATION. OUR HUMAN SERVICES PROGRAMS SERVE 14,000-15,000 PEOPLE OF ALL AGES ANNUALLY, WITH A VARIETY OF SERVICES THAT ALSO INCLUDE IMMIGRATION.

ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THE PROFITS FROM OUR THRIFT STORE OPERATIONS STAY LOCAL, SUPPORTING OUR POVERTY MITIGATION AND ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS. WE OPERATE TWO LARGE THRIFT STORES IN RENO AND SPARKS, ALONG WITH SIX DONATION CENTERS AND A NON-PROFIT PARTNERSHIP, WHICH CONTINUE TO EXPERIENCE TREMENDOUS GROWTH AND SUCCESS. WE ARE PROUD TO BE ABLE TO LEVERAGE THE DONATION OF GENTLY USED GOODS INTO OUR PROGRAMS, IN ADDITION TO ASSISTING THOSE IN NEED WITH FREE BLANKETS, SHOES, WARM CLOTHES AND JACKETS. OUR SOCIAL ENTERPRISES HAVE ALLOWED US TO CREATE NEW EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES TO FORMER CLIENTS, TO HELP THOSE WORKING ON REBUILDING THEIR LIVES. OUR GROWTH HAS ALLOWED US TO INCREASE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR DEDICATED SUPPORTERS.
