ANNUAL MEETING: THE ANNUAL MEETING PROVIDES A VENUE FOR MEMBERS AND INVITED GUESTS TO PRESENT THE BEST BRAIN AND BEHAVIOR RESEARCH IN THE WORLD. IT IS DESIGNED TO ENCOURAGE DIALOGUE, DISCUSSION AND DEBATE AMONG ATTENDEES. THE 2019 MEETING HAD 1,922 SCIENTIFIC ATTENDEES. EIGHTY-NINE PERCENT OF THE ATTENDEES COMPLETING THE MEETING EVALUATION RATED THE ACNP MEETING AS "BETTER THAN MOST OR "CLEARLY SUPERIOR" TO OTHER MEETINGS THEY ATTEND.
PUBLICATIONS: THIS PROGRAM PUBLISHES A MONTHLY JOURNAL, NEUROPSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY, AS WELL AS AN ANNUAL SUPPLEMENT, NEUROPSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY REVIEWS. BOTH OF THESE PUBLICATIONS CONTINUE TO EXTEND THE MISSION OF THE COLLEGE TO DISSEMINATE SCIENTIFIC ADVANCES IN THE FIELD. THE JOURNAL'S IMPACT FACTOR IN 2019 WAS 6.751, RANKING 13 OUT OF 155 IN PSYCHIATRY, 14 OUT OF 270 IN PHARMACOLOGY, AND 23 OUT OF 271 IN NEUROSCIENCE. THE JOURNAL IS ONE OF THE MOST WIDELY READ SCIENTIFIC JOURNALS IN THE WORLD.
TRAVEL AWARDS: THIS PROGRAM SEEKS TO ENCOURAGE AND MENTOR YOUNG SCIENTISTS IN THE FIELD, AS WELL AS MINORITY PARTICIPATION. IN 2019, THE PROGRAM SUPPORTED 66 TRAVEL AWARDEES TO THE ANNUAL MEETING. EACH OF THESE TRAVEL AWARDEES WAS CONNECTED WITH SENIOR ACNP MEMBERS TO SERVE AS MENTORS.
