Sumner County CASA Inc. began assigning volunteers in April 1992 and has advocated for over 3,000 children in court proceedings to date in cases primarily involving abuse and/or neglect. In 2019-2020, 36 CASA volunteers provided service to 166 children, donated over 1,103 hours, trained over 325 hours and drove over 1,968 miles. 10 new CASA volunteers were trained and sworn in during 2019-2020 fiscal year. 86 cases were closed and 87 new cases were opened during 2019-2020.
