TO EDUCATE AND INSPIRE YOUNG PEOPLE TO VALUE FREE ENTERPRISE, BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF THEIR LIVES.

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF MEMPHIS AND THE MID-SOUTH WORKS TO MAKE EVERY CHILD, WORLD READY THROUGH SERVICE TO SCHOOLS IN 23 COUNTIES IN ARKANSAS, TENNESSEE, AND MISSISSIPPI. WE EDUCATE CHILDREN ON HOW TO JOIN AN ECONOMY BY PROVIDING CURRICULUM, HANDS ON EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES, AND EXPOSURE TO ECONOMIC ENGAGEMENT TOOLS. OUR CORE FOCUS IS ON THREE CONTENT AREAS: FINANCIAL LITERACY, WORKFORCE READINESS, AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP. JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF MEMPHIS AND THE MID-SOUTH REACHES OVER 10,000 STUDENTS ANNUALLY IN GRADES K12.

IN ADDITION TO OUR PLACE BASED PROGRAMS HOUSED AT SCHOOLS, JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF MEMPHIS AND THE MID-SOUTH ALSO HAS OUR JA BIZTOWN CAPSTONE PROGRAM THAT BLENDS EDUCATION IN FINANCIAL LITERACY, WORKFORCE READINESS, AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP. THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR 5TH AND 6TH GRADE STUDENTS. BASED ON 12 HOURS OF IN-CLASS OR VIRTUALLY DELIVERED CURRICULUM, STUDENTS LEARN TO BUILD AND RUN THEIR IDEAL CITY WITH ITS OWN SYSTEM OF COMMERCE. WHEN CHILDREN FINISH THE CURRICULUM, THEY ATTEND (VIRTUALLY OR IN PERSON) A 3-5 HOUR SIMULATION THAT ALLOWS THEM TO ROLE PLAY THE WORLD AS THEY WISH TO BUILD IT.
