THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF MEMPHIS IS AN ORGANIZATION OF WOMEN COMMITTED TO PROMOTING VOLUNTEERISM, DEVELOPING THE POTENTIAL OF WOMEN, AND IMPROVING THE COMMUNITY THROUGH THE EFFECTIVE ACTION AND LEADERSHIP OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS. ITS PURPOSE IS EXCLUSIVELY EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE.
THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF MEMPHIS WORKS THROUGH BOTH DIRECT SERVICE AND COLLABORATION WITH OTHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO IMPROVE THE MEMPHIS COMMUNITY. COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAMS INCLUDE HANDS-ON TRAINED VOLUNTEERS SERVING AT COMMUNITY AND NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN THE GREATER MEMPHIS AREA, PROGRAMS RESEARCHED AND CREATED BY THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF MEMPHIS TO ADDRESS UNMET COMMUNITY NEEDS, AND COMMUNITY IMPACT GRANTS. MORE THAN 560 ACTIVE MEMBERS COLLECTIVELY DONATED APPROXIMATELY 30,000 HOURS OF SERVICE TO THE MEMPHIS COMMUNITY.
