Organizations Filed Purposes: To educate the public about Tennessees pivotal role in the ratification of the 19th Amendment which granted all American women the right to vote. The story is told through books, e-books, audio books, DVDs, and public art.

Presentations were made throughout the year on behalf of the Memphis Equality Trailblazers monument and the Tennessee Woman Suffrage Heritage Trail. This is all focused on making the public aware of Tennessees pivotal role in the 19th Amendments ratification. All American women vote today thanks to Tennessee. Representative Joseph Hanover of Memphis was the flor leader who led the successful ratification in the state House. With the centennial celebration coming in 2020, we decided to publish a book about him since he is an unsung hero. Hanovers story is a compelling one and this history needs to be preserved.

The Memphis Suffrage Monument Equality Trailblazers is in process. Alan LeOuire is the artist/sculptor. The monument has been funded by the Shelby County Commission and donations from various individuals. Unveling is set for Fall 2020. The Tennessee Woman Suffrage Heritage Trail is important for heritage tourism and educating the public about all the sites in the state that are suffrage-related. The national centennial of the 19th Amendments ratification is in 2020. All American women ote today thanks to Tennessee.
