VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN THE SPONSORSHIP OF MEET THE CANDIDATE ACTIVITIES & YEARLY POLICY MEETINGS WITH THEIR LEGISLATORS TO EDUCATE THEM ABOUT AG POLICY & HOW THE INDUSTRY IS IMPACTED BY LAWMAKERS.

A HIGHLY DEVELOPED COMMITTEE STRUCTURE PROVIDES LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS THROUGH MEETINGS, REGULAR COMMUNICATIONS, AND AGRICULTURAL ACTIVITIES.
YOUTH LEADERSHIP ACTIVITIES HAMBLEN COUNTY FARM BUREAU SUPPORTS YOUTH AGRICULTURE ORGANIZATIONS BOTH FINANCAILLY AND WITH VOLUNTEER HOURS. THE ORGANIZATION IS A PRIMARY SPONSOR OF THE HAMBLEN COUNTY 4-H AND FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA ORGANIZATIONS. THE HAMBLEN COUNTY FARM BUREAU SPONSORS A VERY EDUCATOINAL FARM DAY WHERE ABOUT 700 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN ATTEND AND GET TO TOUR A WORKING FARM AND SEE WHAT GOES ON EVERYDAY ON A FARM AND HOW IMPORTANT AGRICULTURE IS TO EVERYDAY LIFE.
