MH BEGINS BY IDENTIFYING AND RECRUITING FOSTER CARE FAMILIES AND ASSISTING THEM IN OFFERING HEALING HOMES THROUGH FAMILY AND GROUP OPPORTUNITIES SUPPORTING THE FOSTER & BIRTH FAMILIES TO DETERMINE THE YOUTH'S BEST OPTIONS FOR SUCCESSFUL GROWTH. SPECIFIC OUTCOMES INCLUDE SATISFACTION AS WELL AS YOUTH MEETING INDIVIDUAL GOALS. DOCUMENTING AND COMPARING FOR RESEARCH EFFORTS ARE UNDERWAY. IN 2019, MH SERVED 90 YOUTH (BIRTH TO AGE 18). FY2019 DOES NOT INCLUDE THE PERFORMANCE BASED CONTRACT REINVESTMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN'S SERVICES THAT IS ANTICIPATED TO BE RECEIVED IN FY2021.
MONROE HARDING'S SUPPORTIVE HOUSING SERVICES (INDEPENDENT LIVING & VOCA PROGRAMS) PROVIDES YOUTH (AGE 18-26) WITH SAFE, AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND THERAPEUTIC SERVICES. THESE YOUTH WOULD OTHERWISE BE HOMELESS, AS THEY HEAL FROM PAST TRAUMA. SERVICES INCLUDE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, OPPORTUNITIES FOR POST-HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION, SHORT-TERM AND LONG-TERM GOAL SETTING, ANDPARTICIPATION IN SUPPLEMENTAL PROGRAMS AS THEY PLAN A JOURNEY TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY. SPECIFIC OUTCOMES INCLUDE SATISFACTION AS WELL AS YOUTH MEETING INDIVIDUAL GOALS. DOCUMENTING AND COMPARING FOR RESEARCH EFFORTS ARE UNDERWAY. IN 2019, MONROE HARDING SERVED 67 YOUNG ADULTS.
MONROE HARDING'S YOUTH CONNECTIONS PROGRAM PROVIDES VULNERABLE YOUNG ADULTS (AGE 16 - 26) A SAFE SPACE AND OPPORTUNITIES TO DISCOVER AND CREATE A SELF-DETERMINED FUTURE. WE PROVIDE A VARIETY OF SUPPLEMENTAL PROGRAMS INCLUDING THERAPEUTIC SERVICES, FINANCIAL LITERACY CLASSES, EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT, SEXUAL HEALTH EDUCATION, AND WORK FORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS, IDENTIFICATION OF JOB OR CAREER TRAINING AND INTERNSHIPS. SPECIFIC OUTCOMES INCLUDE SATISFACTION AS WELL AS YOUTH MEETING INDIVIDUAL GOALS. DOCUMENTING AND COMPARING FOR RESEARCH EFFORTS ARE UNDERWAY. IN 2019, YOUTH CONNECTIONS SERVED 185 YOUNG ADULTS.
