Organizations Filed Purposes:
The Well Outreach exists to be the hands and feet of Jesus by serving those in need through supporting spiritual, emotional and physical growth. Since 2009, The Well has provided food assistance in Spring Hill, Thompsons Station, College Grove and the nothern part of Columbia TN
The JetPack Program is a backpack food program providing nutritious, non-perishable food to children in need of food assistance over the weekends and during school breaks. The Well services 14 local elementary, middle and high shcools located in Williamson and Maury Counties.The Well is able to provide this program through donations from local churches and individual support. The total amount of JetPack income received through church and individual donations was $ 40,456. The Well also recives a food grant from Second Harvest of Middle Tennessee that helps off-set the cost of some of the food purchased for JetPacks.JetPacks are packed and distributed by a team of volunteers at each school.
The Well Outreach operates a food pantry each week with hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Well also has evening hours available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 p.m.Households may visit the pantry for assistance twice per month and eligible families may also recieve USDA food once per month. The Well distributed a total of 243,048 pounds of food in the 2019/2020 fiscal year. That is a 52% increase over the prior year.The Well relies on volunteers and food donations to serve our community. The Well received 136,057 pounds of donated food from community families and businesses in 19/20 fiscal year and another 55,953 pounds of food from Second Harvest Food bank.
The Well Outreach in partnership with Second Harvest of Middle Tennessee was able to hold nine Mobile Food Pantries in 2019/2020 fiscal year. The Mobile Food Pantries were held at local schools and businesses throughout Spring Hill and Columbia. The Well served on average 215 families at each Mobile Food Pantry with a total of 1,937 families served this fiscal year.
