The organizations mission is to create a world where individuals with autism all invisible disabilities can thrive
All of KultureCity's programs are designed to help integrate the special needs individual within the community, and to remove societal barriers especially as it relates to accessibility and inclusion. The Heartkulure program provides camps, special events and educational workshops for special needs individuals and their families, as well as the community at large. We also provide scholarships for individual in need to assist with therapy sessions in order to help them meet their potentials. The tabletkulture program provides ipads and other communicative devices to individuals to assist them with communication The toys program provides toys to special needs children across the country, especially during holiday seasons and on their birthdays.
Sensory initiative: The main goal of the sensory initiative is to provide training to public venues such as sporting arenas, museums, zoos, libraries and restaurants across many sectors including but not limited to arts, music, sports, dining and more to make them inclusive at all times to individuals with invisible disabilities, such as those with autism, PTDs, dementia and more. We provide sensory training and education which includes methods to recognize a guest who needs assistance, as well as more effective methods of communication and engagement. We also provide sensory tools such as headphones, fidget tools, weighted lap pads and feeling charts.We create safe spaces like sensory rooms to be used by individuals experiencing sensory overload.
The KCFIT program is used to promote inclusion and acceptance of individuals with autism, PTSD, and all other invisible disabilities by using running, cycling, swimming and exercise in general as the platform. We engage and provide opportunities for athletes with disabilities to participate in sporting events, and to equip them with the tools needed to succeed. The general public is recruited to participate in this program to use their passion for sports as a way to promote awareness and the message of inclusion.
