Organizations Filed Purposes:
The purpose of the Organization as stated in its by-laws, is to administer to needy people in Baldwin County and to serve others.
Social Services Fund - provides emergency aid, food, home repair, winterization of homes and other assistance to the needy, supported directly by the general public and indirectly by the United Way.
Resale Shop - The Resale Shop is maintained to generate funds for Social Services programs. Donated items are received and sold to people who have a need for clothing or household goods. Based on emergency necessity, some recipients receive goods at no cost to them through the Emergency Aid Centers.
Meals on Wheels - provides wholesome nutritious meals to the elderly and ill people who would not otherwise be able to have an appropriate meal. Some recipients pay for meals, those who cannnot afford to pay are funded by direct support.
