Organizations Filed Purposes:
To lessen the burdens on the Sheriffs department of Mobile County. To conduct searches for and rescues or recoveries of persons and propery lost or missing in or on the waters of Mobile County and surrounding areas. To offer a water safety program to schools, churches, etc.
Provided supervision for over 3100 hours of volunteered service. Responded to 9 callouts, both before and during the pandemic, rescuing and assisting 15 citizens, including 5 children and 1 handicapped individual. Assisted the Sheriffs Office, the U. S. Coast Guard, and Mobile police department including searching for missing individuals and responding to distress flares. Participated in training and worked to maintain equipment. Prior to the pandemic participated in Community Outreach services representing the Sheriffs Office, including a local church Fall festival, the Swamp Fest in Satsuma, Al., and Christmas and Mardi Gras parades in Mobile and surrounding communities.
