Organizations Filed Purposes:
The Partnership 4 Kids, Inc. P4K is a long-term comprehensive education and mentoring program beginning in Pre-Kindergarten, to and through college and careers. It is the only local program that serves young people for this extensive period and targets the ones growing up in poverty. By providing this type of program, P4K has seen higher GPAs, increased school engagement and school attendance, stronger retention and higher graduation rates. The power of education and mentoring mixed together is a proven success model in providing hope for a brighter future which then leads to lessening poverty. The program begins in 12 Title One elementary schools and then carries over to 5 middle schools, followed by five high schools. These schools are located in northeast and southeast Omaha-two areas with high levels of poverty.
