THE ATLANTIC CITY SPORTS COMMISSION STRATEGICALLY SOLICITS, CREATES AND SUPPORTS SPORTS RELATED EVENTS AND BUSINESSES THAT ENHANCE ATLANTIC CITY'S ECONOMY. THE COMMISSION MAINTAINS EXCELLENT RELATIONS WITH ALL OF ATLANTIC COUNTY, NEW JERSEY'S SPORTS FACILITY MANAGEMENT, HOTELS AND CASINOS AND MEETING FACILITIES. PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS ARE PROVIDED A SIGNIFICANT HEAD START AND SUBSTANTIALLY INCREASE THEIR ODDS OF A SUCCESSFUL EVENT EXPERIENCE BY ASSISTING THEM WITH IDENTIFICATION, COOPERATION AND COORDINATION WITH FACILITIES IN A VARIETY OF VENUES. ACCOMPLISHMENTS: FUTSAL - A NEW FOUR (4) YEAR DEAL WAS AGREED TO BY FUTSAL, BRINGING THEM BACK TO THE ATLANTIC CITY CONVENTION CENTER FROM 2022-2025. THIS AGREEMENT REPRESENTS A TOTAL OF 6 EVENTS (4 REGIONALS AND 2 NATIONALS). FUTSAL HAS BECOME A STAPLE IN ATLANTIC CITY, BOASTING MORE THAN 400 TEAMS PER REGIONAL EVENT AND ATTRACTING ATHLETES FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY FOR THEIR NATIONALS. DATE- REGIONALS (FEBRUARY)/NATIONALS (JULY) REGIONALS: US FUTSAL ROOM NIGHTS IS 4,000 EACH YEAR. TOTAL OF 16,000 2022: EI 4,088,155 2023: EI 5,336,014 2024: EI 5,434,482 2025: EI 5,516,382 TOTAL: 20,375,033 NATIONALS: ROOM NIGHTS = 1,550 AND EI: 2,957,010 (PER YEAR FOR 2 YEARS). NABA - NORTH AMERICAN BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION IN SEPTEMBER, THE ATLANTIC CITY CONVENTION CENTER WILL HOST THE LARGEST ALL PILIPINO BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT IN THE COUNTRY. THIS EVENT WILL ATTRACT A NEW DEMOGRAPHIC TO ATLANTIC CITY THAT LOOK FORWARD TO ENGAGING IN ALL OF THE AMENITIES THAT ATLANTIC CITY HAS TO OFFER. DATE - SEPTEMBER 3 - 6 2021 ECONOMIC IMPACT - EI: 4,400,681 ROOM NIGHTS - 4,500 AVP BEACH WEEK - ATLANTIC CITY HOSTED THE FIRST ANNUAL AVP VOLLEYBALL BEACH WEEK WHICH INCLUDED THE AVP JUNIOR AMERICAN NATIONALS AND THE AVPNEXT TOUR. IN A COVID ENVIRONMENT, AVP AND THE ATLANTIC CITY SPORTS COMMISSION DEMONSTRATED THAT OUTDOOR EVENTS CAN TAKE PLACE IN A SAFELY BY FOLLOW THE APPROPRIATE PROTOCOLS, PROCEDURES, AND MANDATES. THIS WAS THE FIRST EVENT TO TAKE PLACE DURING COVID AND PROVED TO BE A HUGE SUCCESS. DATE- JULY 28 - AUGUST 1 2020 ECONOMIC IMPACT - 5,273,452 ROOM NIGHTS - 5,370 VERTICAL ADVENTURES - BEACH POLE VAULTING TOOK PLACE IN ATLANTIC CITY THIS SUMMER AND IT WAS CERTAINLY A SIGHT TO SEE THIS EVENT, SIMILAR TO AVP, WAS A TRUE TESTAMENT THAT OUTDOOR SPORTING EVENTS CAN NOT ONLY TAKE PLACE DURING COVID, BUT ALSO FLOURISH. BEACH POLE VAULTING HOSTED CLOSE TO 200 POLE VAULTERS AND ABOUT 1,000 IN SPECTATORS AS ATHLETES COMPETED ON THE BEACH. DATE- AUGUST 8-9 2020 ECONOMIC IMPACT - 166,176 ROOM NIGHTS - 120 R3 - THE ATLANTIC CITY SPORTS COMMISSION AND MEET AC SEALED THE DEAL WITH R3 IN 2020 THAT WILL BRING AN ALL ENCOMPASSING AUTO SHOW TO ATLANTIC CITY WITH THE LIKES OF NO OTHER. SIMILAR TO SEMA (ON THE WEST COAST), R3 PLANS ON HOSTING A TRADESHOW IN THE ATLANTIC CITY CONVENTION CENTER AND CONCERT/AUTO DRIVING ON BADER FIELD. THIS ONE OF A KIND SHOW WILL BE UNIQUE TO ATLANTIC CITY AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO MAKING ATLANTIC CITY THEIR HOME FOR YEARS TO COME. DATE- SEPTEMBER 23 - 26TH 2021 ECONOMIC IMPACT - 4,119,467 ROOM NIGHTS - TBD JIMMY JOHNSON'S QUEST FOR THE RING - IN JUNE OF 2020 THE ATLANTIC CITY SPORTS COMMISSION WAS SUCCESSFUL IN LANDING THE JIMMY JOHNSON FISHING TOURNAMENT. IN JULY OF 2021, 100 BOATS WILL TRY THEIR LUCK AGAINST BOTH THE COMPETITION AND THE FISH, FISHING FOR MARLIN, TUNA, AND WAHOO IN THE QUEST TO WIN THE 1.2 MILLION DOLLAR PURSE AND JIMMY JOHNSON'S COVETED RING THIS STAR STUDDED EVENT WILL FEATURE RECEPTIONS, VENDOR VILLAGES, PARTIES, AND SOME OF THE BEST FISHING ON THE EAST COAST.
