Restoration of historic organs located in the Historic Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City New Jersey
The organization has one program and purpose. That is to publicize, promote and restore the worlds largest pipe organ and another historic organ in the Historic Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. During 2019, the organization held a recital series and tours of the organ in conjunction with other concert events using the pipe organ with other ensemble and performing arts groups. A grant from the Atlantic County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs was obtained in the amount of $2,100 for the support of our Recital & Tour Series. Our Recital & Tour Series attracted 7,200 visitors. Special tours and recitals were provited to the many schools in our area. The organization has a full-time curator who is restoring and overseeing the restoration of both instruments and an Outreach/Special Events coordinator to aid in constituent development, grant writing and volunteer coordination.
