The mission of the Renaissance Regional Leadership Charter School is to develop the next generation of outstanding leaders who will be equipped with the academic excellence, self-management skills and character necessary for them to positively influence their world. The vision of the Renaissance Regional Leadership Charter School is an educational environment, which supports student engagement and empowers all students to identify and utilize their own leadership abilities and gifts.
Renaissance Regional Leadership Charter School is an independent reporting entity within the criteria adopted by the Government Auditing Standards Board (GASB) as established by GASB Statement No. 14. During its fourth year of operation, the 2013-2014 school year, Renaissance Regional Leadership Charter School provided a full range of educational services to students in grades K-8. These services included regular, as well as special education instruction. Total enrollment for the 2013-2014 school year was 159. Every student in third through eighth grades is given the state mandated NJ ASK test. The Charter School has developed a comprehensive strategic plan to support its mission and vision and serves as a blueprint for the achievement of its goals. The plan includes objectives, such as pupil achievement as measured by standardized tests and teacher assessment instruments; formal professional development for the certified and non-certified staff; and the implementation of a technology plan in all classrooms. In order to improve test scores, tutoring sessions were conducted with teachers, volunteering their time after school. A summer Academic Camp was also held.Unfortunately, the State of New Jersey Department of Education did not renew the the Charter School's academic charter, causing the Charter School to cease all academic activities effective June 30, 2014.
