PROVIDE BASIC HUMAN SERVICES, PRINCIPALLY YOUTH, DAY CARE, ELDER AND HOMELESS ADVOCACY PROGRAMS.

THE DAY CARE AND EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAM PROVIDES CARE FOR MORE THAN 200 INFANTS AND TODDLERS AGED TWO WEEKS TO 2 1/2 YEARS AND FOR MORE THAN 500 PRESCHOOLERS IN A COUNTY-WIDE SYSTEM OF EARLY CARE AND EDUCATION. THE PROGRAM MAKES IT POSSIBLE FOR PARENTS TO WORK OR TRAIN FOR EMPLOYMENT. DAY CARE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE THE OPERATION, UNDER CONTRACT WITH THE CAMDEN CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION, OF 11 ABBOTT DISTRICT CLASSROOMS FOR THREE AND FOUR-YEAR OLD CHILDREN LIVING IN THE CITY OF CAMDEN.

OPERATES A SENIOR ADULT CENTER IN NORTH CAMDEN, OFFERING PROGRAMS, ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS TO ENRICH SENIORS' LIVES AND HELP THEM STAY ACTIVE AND HEALTHY. SENIORS ARE SERVED A NUTRITIOUS LUNCH EACH DAY AND HAVE ACCESS TO HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES. PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR MAY INCLUDE COMPUTER WORKSHOPS, EXERCISE CLASSES, ART AND MUSIC CLASSES, AND DAY TRIPS TO AREA ATTRACTIONS. SENIORS ALSO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR COMMUNITY GARDEN, AS WELL AS OUR "JOBS FOR SENIORS" INITIATIVE, DESIGNED TO ASSIST SENIORS WHO DESIRE TO WORK AND FIND EMPLOYMENT. OUR PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO PREVENT INSTITUTIONALIZATION, KEEPING SENIORS IN THEIR HOME OF CHOICE.

PROVIDES A JOB TRAINING AND PLACEMENT PROGRAM TO LOCAL STUDENTS AND SENIORS FROM THE CITY AND COUNTY OF CAMDEN, PLACING THE STUDENTS AND SENIORS WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES.PROVIDES EMPLOYMENT AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR 13 TO 15 YEAR OLDS FEATURING JOB SHADOWING, EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS TRAINING, MENTORING, AND FIELD TRIPS TO CULTURAL VENUES. IN 2019, 15 AUTO TECH STUDENTS GRADUATED FROM THE PROGRAM.
