Biomedical Research. In 2019, VBRI's biomedical research program included 4 projects funded by grants from the Department of Defense, New Jersey Commission for Brain Injury Research and New Jersey Health Foundation.
Education. In 2019, VBRI's education program funded the purchase of an ultrasound system and additional items to support the education and training for Medical Service attendings and trainees. In addition, Veterans Affairs New Jersey Health Care System staff were able to travel to educational events and meetings in the areas of infectious disease, internal medicine, pulmonoloy, gastroentorology, mental health, and pharmacology.
