HUNTERDON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS A BUSINESS ORGANIZATION CONSISTING OF MEMBERS FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE, ASSIST AND ENHANCE LOCAL BUSINESS IN HUNTERDON COUNTY.
TO SUPPORT THE SUCCESS OF MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS BY PROMOTING A FAVORABLE BUSINESS CLIMATE AND BY PROVIDING LEADERSHIP, BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND PROMOTING, COORDINATING AND FACILITATING SHARED SERVICES INITIATIVES IN HUNTERDON COUNTY
ESTABLISHED IN 1916, WHAT IS NOW THE HUNTERDON COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SET OUT TO SUPPORT A PRO-BUSINESS CLIMATE AND ITS EXISTING BUSINESSES IN THE COUNTY. IT IS STILL IN THAT BUSINESS. MUCH HAS CHANGED IN THE HUNTERDON COUNTY IN 100+ YEARS YET THE COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE CONTINUES IN THE FOREFRONT OF COUNTY AND REGIONAL BUSINESS. TODAY'S HUNTERDON COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS MUCH MORE THAN A HUB OF NETWORKING. IT IS A BUSINESS COMMUNITY FOCUSING ON RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT, TARGETED INFORMATIONAL PROGRAMS, SHARING ITS COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE, ADVOCATING ON BEHALF OF ITS BUSINESS MEMBERS AND ONE WHOSE MEMBERS CELEBRATE EXCELLENCE AND ACHIEVEMENT. WHETHER IT'S CONNECTING BUSINESS-TO- BUSINESS, EXPLORING GOVERNMENT RELATIONS OR PROVIDING BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS, THE CHAMBER IS COMMITTED TO FINDING THE RIGHT MIX FOR THE VARIOUS MARKET SEGMENTS COMPRISING ITS MEMBERSHIP. THE CHAMBER ALSO WORKS COUNTYWIDE TO PUBLICIZE THE RECREATIONAL AND OTHER TOURIST ATTRACTIONS AVAILABLE FOR VISITORS, BUSINESS TRAVELERS AND COUNTY RESIDENTS WHO WANT TO DISCOVER HUNTERDON. THE HUNTERDON COUNTY CHAMBER INVITES ITS MEMBER BUSINESSES TO PARTICIPATE IN CREATING ITS OWN BUSINESS COMMUNITY. AS EACH COMPANY CHOOSES TO JOIN THE CHAMBER IT BECOMES INTEGRATED INTO THAT COMMUNITY, INTO THE BRAND. MORE THAN 600 COMPANIES STRONG AND REPRESENTING OVER 15,000 FULL TIME EMPLOYEES, THE CHAMBER ENDEAVORS TO CREATE MEANINGFUL PARTNERSHIPS THAT ENHANCE THE BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT. EACH COMPANY BECOMES PART OF THAT COUNTYWIDE COMMUNITY BY CONTRIBUTING TO THE DIRECTION AND DECISIONS OF THE VARIOUS COMMITTEES AND TASK FORCES, BY VOLUNTEERING WITH PROGRAMS AND EVENTS, BY RAISING COLLECTIVE CONCERNS, BY CONTRIBUTING TO MONTHLY PUBLICATIONS AND PRESENTING ITSELF ON BOTH THE CHAMBER'S AND HUNTERDON TOURISM WEBSITES. IT IS THE TASK OF THE BOARD AND STAFF TO GOVERN AND LEAD THE ORGANIZATION FOR ITS MEMBERS, TO REPRESENT THEM, LISTEN AND RESPOND TO THEM AND PLAN FOR AN EVER-EXPANDING PROGRAM OF WORK THAT PROVIDES REAL AND PRACTICAL VALUE IN RETURN FOR AN INVESTMENT OF TIME AND MONEY. FROM ADVOCATING, TO MUNICIPAL VITALITY, TO PROVIDING GENERAL PROGRAMMING, TO ENGAGING ITS VERTICAL MARKETING (CUSTOMIZED INTEREST) GROUPS, THE CHAMBER SERVES AS A COLLECTIVE VOICE FOR ITS MEMBERS WHERE AND WHEN IT MATTERS. THE HUNTERDON COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WELCOMES YOU, YOUR BUSINESS, YOUR EMPLOYEES AND YOUR IDEAS. IT IS, AFTER ALL, THE BUSINESSES OF THE REGION THAT MAKE UP WHO AND WHAT THE CHAMBER IS AND DOES. BUSINESS EXPO ENTERING ITS 31TH YEAR, THIS TRADE SHOW STYLE EVENT BRINGS TOGETHER COMMUNITY AND BUSINESSES TO SHOWCASE THE WIDE RANGE OF INDUSTRIES IN THE REGION. FEATURING OVER 100 VENDORS AND DRAWING CROWDS OF MORE THAN 2,000, THIS IS A MARQUEE EVENT FOR THE CHAMBER AND ITS MEMBERS.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING THE HUNTERDON COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HOLDS ITS ANNUAL MEETING AND DINNER EVERY FEBRUARY. IT IS AN EVENT THAT BRINGS TOGETHER OUR MEMBERSHIP AND COMMUNITY LEADERS TO CELEBRATE THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE PRIOR YEAR AND A PREVIEW OF PROGRAMS TO BE PRESENTED IN THE FUTURE.
