Organizations Filed Purposes:
The Corporation will provide assistance to employees and/or family members of employees of Care One, LLC, Aveta, Inc. and their respective affiliates and to members of the communities in which the Companies operate, based on an objective determination of need or distress, and who are affected by any current or future civil or natural disaster, including, but not limited to, Superstorm Sandy, or have experienced an emergency hardship.
To provide financial assistance to employees and/or family members of employees of Careone, LLC, Aveta, Inc. and their respective affiliates and to members of the communities.
Since inception, Careone Disaster Relief Fund has raised over $929,000 for grants made to victims of Superstorm Sandy and other natural disasters totaling over $851,000 for years 2012-2014. In 2015, the organization merged into the Gwendolyn and Joseph Straus Charitable Fund, Inc. and $141,087 was subsequently transferred.
