BREAKFAST PROGRAM: In September 2018, ECV launched a Breakfast Program which provides free meals each school day to young residents in Eggerts Crossing Village in grades K-12. It also provides supervised childcare prior to the school day and ensures children get on the bus safely each morning. The program is largely funded through the Princeton Area Community Foundation's All Kids Thrive initiative in an effort to combat chronic absenteeism in the Mercer County area. AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM: Aside from homework assistance, tutoring, academic enrichment, students in grades K-6 receive individualized attention in the crucial areas of mathematics, reading comprehension and critical thinking. The program draws local teachers into the students' environment so they become more familiar with it and more available to the students' parents. The children also participate in extracurricular activities like music, tennis, art and music instruction, nature walks and ice skating. ECV also offers weekly STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) workshops at both program sites. TUTORING AND MENTORING PROGRAM: ECV offers this free program twice a week to middle school and high school students during the school year who have aged out of the After School Program and/or reside in Eggerts Crossing Village as well as weekly sessions during the summer months.SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAM - ECV offers, at a minimum cost to families, Summer Enrichment Program, which starts directly after the conclusion of the school year. It is not only designed for students to have fun, it gives students an opportunity to retain the information and skills they developed during the school year. The enrichment component consists of literacy, math, and social studies through activities (e.g. hands-on projects, games) led by certified teachers. In the afternoon, children participate in recreational activities like arts and crafts, swimming, STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) workshops and tennis. On Fridays, students go on field trips.
