Organizations Filed Purposes: THE SOCIETY IS A MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION OF PHYSICIANS THAT ADMINISTERS MEMBER SERVICES AND ORGANIZES CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS FOR THE BENEFIT OF MEMBERS. TO PROMOTE THE BETTERMENT OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND THE SCIENCE AND THE ART OF MEDICINE, TO ENLIGHTEN PUBLIC OPINION IN REGARD TO THE PROBLEMS OF MEDICINE AND TO SAFEGUARD THE RIGHTS OF THE PRACTICE OF MEDICINE.

THE SOCIETY IS A MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION OF PHYSICIANS THAT ADMINISTERS MEMBER SERVICES AND ORGANIZES CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE MEMBERS.

MSNJ ENGAGED WITH THE KANSAS MEDICAL ASSOCIATION TO BRING A PHYSICIAN LED HEALTH INFORMATION EXCHANGE FOR MEDICAL PRACTICES. THIS PROGRAM ADDRESSES THE FRUSTRATION PHYSICIANS FACE WHEN INTERACTING WITH ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS AND IMPROVE THEIR ABILITY TO BUILD POPULATION HEALTH INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS. WHEN FULLY IMPLEMENTED IN 2018 THE PROGRAM WILL IMPROVE HEALTCARE OUTCOME AND LOWER COSTS FOR PATIENTS. PARTICIPATING PHYSICIANS CAN IMPROVE REVENUE THROUGH SIMPLIFIED REPORTING OF QUALITY MEASURES.

THE SOCIETY ADVANCED IT'S PUBLIC HEALTH MISSION THROUGH EXTENSIVE LEGISLATIVE AND MEDIA ADVOCACY TO REDUCE OPIOID DRUG DIVERSION, ENSURE SAFE MEDICATION DISPOSAL AND EDUCATE PHYSICIANS AND THE PUBLIC ON SAFE PRESCRIBING PRACTICES FOR OPIOID DRUGS. MSNJ ALSO ASSISTED GOVERNMENT ON IMPROVING THE USE AND VIABILITY OF THE STATE'S PRESCRIPTION DRUG MONITORING PROGRAM.

MSNJ PROVIDED SEVERAL REGIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR PHYSICIANS AND MEDICAL OFFICE STAFF ON THE NEW MERIT BASED INCENTIVE PROGRAM, THROUGH MEDICARE. MSNJ PROVIDED FREE AND LOW COST RESOURCES FOR MEDICAL PRACTICES TO REPORT ON QUALITY MEASURES TO IMPROVE PATIENT CARE.
